Philippines Disaster Assistance

The carabao is the Philippine's national animal.

For those of you who may not know, on December 19th a series of flash floods took impact on the Philippines. The death toll is nearing the thousand mark, and statistics show that 50,000 have lost their homes and are in desperate need of supplies.

I was born half Filipina on my mom's side. Being a part of the Philippines Disaster Assistance Fundraiser was something that rings personally to me and it just made sense to get involved.

Between Dec 21 and Dec 26, a company by the name of Dream Seeker Estates will be matching all donations up to $5,000.00 USD. I have spoken to them directly and have requested prior recipts for validation that they have lived up to their promise. Everything has checked out, so I can assure you that the money will be going to the Red Cross.

If you have a spare moment, I urge you all to check it out. The price scheme is on the low side, from 25L - 500L, so any small contribution will help in the long run.
